Racheal Rios is a muralist, painter and designer, performance artist, and co-founder of Snakebite Creation Space. Raised on Tucson’s west side, her earliest art influences were nearby murals, tile work, and all the tattoos in her dad’s lowrider magazines, an inspiration for her own. Since then Racheal’s had the opportunity to paint murals all over town, experiment with 3D mediums and dance, and create arresting performance art. Her work is inspired by the desert and all its flora and fauna, and by women with bad attitudes taking up space in the often male-dominated world of art. In her own words, “I be doing it for my bitches, period.”
