Jessica Gonzales is a Tucson-based painter, designer and muralist. She moved to Tucson at the age of 12 from Oklahoma, by way of Germany, and spent her formative years connecting with her Mexican-American heritage and the culture of the city. Her mother being an artist herself, Jessica started creating at a young age, drawing inspiration over the years from the harsh shadows of the desert sun, everyday life, and the artistic process itself. Now you can find her work all around Tucson, with murals inside local businesses like American Eat Co., Bombole, and Hotel McCoy, and on the side of such Tucson institutions as Antigone Books, and the Rialto Theatre.
