Desert Elements Prints by Westerner Studio

These original linocut block prints are created using pieces designed for Westerner Studios' Desert Details series, now in smaller sizes! Each individual element is hand-carved into its own linoleum block, allowing the various pieces to be rearranged and printed in different compositions, with different motifs.

Each print is pulled by hand with Cranfield ink on Rives BFK Crème paper.

Quail measures 7.5" x 10"

Snake measures 7.5" x 10"

Roadrunner measures 8.5" x 11"

All other prints measure 9" x 11"

Ian Crombie is a Tucson-based graphic designer and artist whose practice spans digital design and traditional printmaking. Drawn to printmaking after taking a class at The Drawing Studio, he approaches the medium as both meditative and exploratory; a slower, more tactile counterbalance to his design work. In addition to his professional design practice, Crombie’s Sonoran desert-inspired artwork has been featured in community exhibitions and collaborations that celebrate the connection between place, and craft.
