As a young child in the 80’s, native Tucsonan Mark A Molina remembers spending Saturday mornings watching cartoons and playing classic Atari 2600 and Nintendo games. The bright neon colors and electro pop sounds left a lasting impression that remains with him today. As a graphic design student, MAM drew inspiration from Pop Art icons like Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. The bold lines and vibrant colors spoke to him, and he began to interpret his own kitschy visions in media as diverse as collage, painting, paper mâché, jewelry, and custom-designed cakes.

Join us for our #TotallyMAM meet and greet ~ a bright, poppy, spooky celebration of MAM's themes of the 1980s juxtaposed with the Halloween memories his childhood. We will have tubular tunes, delicious cupcake treats by MAM, sangria, and lots of MAM's new work and classic faves! Costumes / wicked 80s gear welcome!

MAM stays true to his Tucson roots by blending traditional Dia de los Muertos and Halloween imagery with unforgettable pop culture icons. Whether it's a Hollywood monster, a devil skull, or a vintage cereal box painting, MAM's award winning whimsical style is sure to make you smile.
